Alert Bay Visitor Info Centre is 400 meters turning right off the BC Ferry. Our Island is 1/2 mile wide & 3 miles long, but is very hilly, so everything is close. Stop by our Visitor Info Centre to pick up local, provincial, neighbouring states and neighbouring province information. We have a selection of over 450 magazines and brochures. View original paintings by Chris Nancarrow depicting a day in the life along Fir and Front Streets of Alert Bay. Our island is rich with First Nations Culture & tradition. While here visit the world famous U'mista Cultural Centre, Alert Bay Library-Museum, dance performance by the T'sasala Cultural Group (July/August), Alert Bay Ecological Park, century old Anglican Church, First Nation galleries, etc....
